Jot Issue #2 is nearly here...

I am so so excited for the release of Jot Magazine Issue 2! The last few weeks and the lead up to the release has meant lots of secret squirrel scrapbooking that I can't share. I know after the fantastic response issue 1 had, that issue 2 is going to be even more fab!

Here's a sneaky of what is included in this months issue. If you click the pic below you will be taken to the Jot Blog where Kim has listed a few things that will be covered in the mag.

I can also show you the cover! :) I LOVE LOVE the clean and simple but oh so inspiring layout of Jot!

Plus, in issue 2 you will get to find out a little bit more about us creative team girls :)
Still pinching myself that I am included in a group as talented as this! So so amazing the opportunities I have been getting with my scrapbooking lately.
Certainly makes me feel so blessed!

Stay tuned for the announcement of the release tomorrow night!

Tonight I am back to share the latest mood board from the always awesome Jot Magazine. The colours in this, WOW, they sucked me right in! Peach, mint and woodgrain, yeah!

I have scrapbooked a 'selfie' taken when my little girl was 3 days old. We had a moment of peace after she had fed in the rocking chair in her room. I remember just being so amazed (and still am) by this little miracle in my arms, and spent far too much time just 'watching' her. Wow! What an amazing life changing, learning curve becoming a mum is. I feel ridiculously blessed to have her in my life.

Jot Magazine - Mood Board #7 - Our Vows

Today I am here to share with you my latest layout I have created for Jot Mood Board #7 which is running from now until midnight on the 28th August.

Here is the board. How stunning is this colour combo. I found this a slight challenge as I love pops of colour so the urge to add a splash of metallic or a bright colour was high in this one.

123 Challenge - Layout share 'The Sweetest Thing'

Tonight I am here to share with you my creative team sample for the August 123 Challenge. The challenge this month is:

* Colour = Cream * Our Word = Old * Our Technique = Vintage

Here is my sample:

Layout title - The Sweetest Thing (the layout doesn't really have a title as such as its more journaling so I used one of the sayings from an element on the page).

I used the cream in the papers, the majority being in the Maggie Holmes Doily paper. The word 'old' is in my journaling and the technique of vintage is used in the style and patterns in the papers and embellishments I have chosen.

Products Used:
Papers: Crate Paper 'Maggie Holmes' Patterned Paper, My Mind's Eye Patterned Paper, Crate Paper Patterned Paper, Heidi Swapp Patterned Paper, Kraft card stock
Embellishments: Maggie Holmes Fabric Frame, Maggie Holmes Die Cuts, My Mind's Eye stickers, Maya Road Die Cuts, My Minds Eye Brad, A Piece of Cake Designs 'Blushing Doily' Cherry Flair, My Mind's Eye Enamel Dots, Dear Lizzy wooden buttons, Webster's Pages File Folder card,  D-lish Scraps Resin Flowers, washi tape and sequins, paper clip, peg
Other: Tim Holtz tiny attacher and staples, typewriter, Sewing machine and cream thread, American Crafts roller sate stamp and Black Archival ink.

Some close ups:

Loving turning my stamped dates into banners, and of course there is some D-lish resin here, could not complete a page without it.

You can see on the left the flair button from my store A Piece of Cake Designs, which coincidently coordinated perfectly with this page :) You can see the flair set here

When I initially read this challenge I thought it was so not me and going to be hard, but once I stopped thinking and just went with it and kept true to my style, it was much easier.

Sometimes in scrapbooking we over think processes and make things more difficult than they really need to be. I am just enjoying creating and can see more and more as I create pages, my 'style' emerging. I am enjoying being so comfortable in my scrapbooking, as it is something I do not think I have felt before; always doubting, always comparing to others, etc....But hey, I have now realised I do this for my enjoyment, this is my style and thats just how it is :)

Hope you give this months 123 a go! There are always great prizes up for grabs.
